If you need a day trip, head to the Delta. One of my favorite places is the historic town of Locke. If you have a love of history or photography it is a must.

Did you see the total lunar eclipse last night? Isn’t nature awesome!?

This past weekend we needed to get out of the house. With everyone being sick, we had classic signs of cabin fever. So we hit the Micke Grove Zoo. What a bargain. For a family of 4, $5 to park and $6 for entry. It seemed the animals were happy the sun was out too.

I don’t know why, but lately I have been drawn to water fountains.

Mr. Micke for which the park is named.

Maddie was pretty interested in the monkey exhibits…

… Although this little guy kept yawning at us.

Chase has a bigger wing span than a barn owl… good to know.

This past weekend, before getting the flu, Chase participated in a katate tourney in Sacramento.

My son’s first grade class held a Chinese New Year event that was sooooo cute! The ran a restaurant called the Red Dragon. They invited a second grade class to be their customers. There were cooks, servers, cashiers and hosts. It was awesome!

These two made my job so easy. They had a vision, the light was great, we had fun and look at them – they are gorgeous people.

Congratulations on your engagement Michael and Rosie…

Here are a few photos from the session.

I find myself under the weather and with two kiddies with fevers so inbetween the medicine dosing and the cooling down and fetching treats, I did get a few photos done! :)
