A woman I went to high school with is missing with her 5-year-old daughter. I remember Silvia Nino’s smile and her talents on the softball diamond. Her daughter has her smile. My thoughts go out to you and your family whereever you are. If anyone has any information, please call the police.
This sort of amazed me. I made the WordPress Growing Blogs list. I am humbled. Thanks for reading everyone.
Okay, so let me let you know when i write (type) this I am a little more than partial about the person I am writing about.
He is my Tio. My mother’s brother. He is a soft spoken man with a heart of gold. He is an artist. He lives in the next little town, Woodbridge. And as close as we live to one and other, we see each other maybe twice a year. If I can get away to see once of his shows I am there. I try to make to the artists’ reception but that doesn’t always happen.
His style is bright, Salvador Dali-esque. He is the quintessential cool. (If that even makes sence, sounds good though!
)
So when I catch word of his next showing, that should be in the next months, I will left you know when this humble artist will be with his art.

Catch ya later….
I received Henry’s birthday book in the mail today.
When I received his invitation from his mama, Tricia, to his party, I thought they were soooo cute! I asked where she had them done. She had shirts, pins, invites and even a bib created with a design by Nicole, owner of PinkDesign.
Kudos Nicole. Love your work!
So to continue the theme, I incorporated the animals into his book.
Well they tied the knot. And from some cyber cafe in Hawaii, Rosie is watching and waiting for the first glimpses of her wedding photographs.
You may recognize them from their engagement photos. I have waited for this day in anticipation. I don’t know why. This couple just let me do as I pleased. They followed cues (especially the kissing). LOL And of course I cried at their wedding. Thank you Michael and Rosie for the honor of being a part of your day.
Saturday, they made their vows to each other at the Brookside Farm in Stockton.
And without further ado…
And I absolutely appreciated Rosie’s attitude, “I am only going to wear this dress once,” while taking photos after the ceremony. We’ll have to talk about bridal portraits around the farm now! Wink, wink!
I first met Natalie on a fire training exercise. Now mind you, neither of us are firefighters. She is married to one who I think looks like Tom Selleck
and I was out shooting for the paper. Fast forward a week or two or three.
Lauren, my partner in crime at the paper and in life, were working on “Crafting Revolution”. We were highlighting local artists that push paper, silver, and everything they can get their hands on and creating beautiful art with. And Natalie was one of these wonderful women.
She will be at the Farmer’s Market Thursday night. Stop by her booth. Say hello. And check out some amazing things. You can also find her work at PDC Boutique in the Woolworth Building on School Street. Stop in there and say “Hello” to Lisa. (I’ll blog about her later)
If you can’t make the market, here is her blog: Life Is a Collage.
I have been wanting to get someone to Oak Park for a shoot. Liz suggested for their second half of their engagement session. Despite the blaring Spanish version of “Achy Breaky Heart”, there was peace amongst the Oak groves. Ground squirrels were EVERWHERE! The light was lovely with the grasses just glowing in the setting sunlight.
Here are a few picks:
Flag Football. It is our Saturday morning ritual at the moment. Chase loves the defense and grabbing the flags. He beams when he comes up with it in his hand. “I got it!”
It makes a mama proud too when you hear the other team’s coach,”Get #63! Stop him, don’t let him through!” That’s right boys- THAT’S MY SON!
Today, the opposing coach was yelling at his offense to block 63. Chase looks down at his jersey just to make sure they were talking about him. LOL
Here are some shots!
