gosling | on assignment

While I was on assignment today, I got to meet Lucky the gosling. He is so sweet. His down so soft! Liz Bokisch holds the little bird as she tells us how her husband was turning on the barbecue and looked down between his feet and Lucky had strolled up out of nowhere.

I love the Bokisch bottles…

While there, we learned about what a trillo is. It  in the harvest of wheat in Spain. It has little blades and grooves with small rocks. It is attached to a horse and the driver rides on the wooden “sleigh” either standing or seated on a chair as they harvest. The rakes on the wall are used to separate the stalks from the grain. The neat thing about rakes are they are grown that way. Yes! They are grown. The branches  are encouraged by binding them as they grow. Too cool!
