Cookie mania III | {my life}

It started with a trip to Costco.

2 bricks of butter. 1 restaurant bag of flour. Economy bag of chocolate chips. 52 eggs.

There were white chocolate chips, cream of tarter, brown sugar, vanilla, bacon, powered sugar, candy cane pieces, bittersweet chocolate, walnuts, coconut.

And so much more…

The mixer whirled. Christmas music drifted softly on the aroma of sweet treats baking. Lil hands came and helped and skipped their owners back to playing Legos and watching Christmas classics in the other room. Doggies were underfoot, searching for crumbs and nib-lets that fell to the floor.

My husband, brother-in-law and kids were making the homemade pizzas, while my sister and I were baking away. My hubs and BIL were singing Christmas carols. Finally it felt like the Christmas season.

Here are my Instagrams of Saturday.

The cookies…

The cookies made were chocolate chip, Chocolate crackles, coconut laces, Mexican wedding cakes, Molasses cookies, bacon cookies, peppermint clouds, flour-less trail mix cookies to name a few… 🙂

The pizza…

This is our new tradition. Cookies and pizza for the bakers.

I hope that your Christmas season is in full gear now. I hope that despite the heartbreak that has confronted our nation, you are able to find small moments to find hope.
