A beautiful sunrise.
Then up to get to the Dole Plantation.
We loved the Pineapple Maze! The Pineapple Express (which immediately brought to mind a movie by the same name) was fun to ride to see the beautiful red soil, mountains and green rows of pineapples, papayas, sugar cane and more. And the pineapple whip was delish!
Then it was time for some more shave ice. Everyone I had talked to about Hawaii and shave ice said we had to make a stop at Matsumoto. I was intrigued as we pulled into the crowded parking lot. People standing in line overflowed to the roadside. People sat shoulder to shoulder on the benches in front of the grocery store. It was worth the wait. Everyone was happy.
Afterwards we headed to Shark’s Cove to try out our first snorkel adventure.
It was beautiful!
After we stopped a second to check out a bunch of food trucks. We didn’t get anything but I was told by a young lady on the Pineapple Express that Giovanni’s is the best.
