New Black Belts

This weekend, the kids had their Black Belt test and Tea Ceremony.

It was held at William Jessup University in Rocklin.

Chase earned his third degree and Madison her second. It has been a long road to this moment. Chase has been studying taekwondo for nine years. Maddie has been doing the same for five years.

They have gone through the ranks with their friends and instructor, Mr. Fred Estrada for most of their career. But the kids have had some incredible instructors throughout, like Mr. Brown, who taught Chase the double nunchuk at a young age. People would watch in awe as he would create a spectacle of noise and movement as he swung the metal tubes across his body.

Maddie has looked up to her brother, but has become her own athlete. She has a beautiful back kick and to watch her spar is to see a whole different little lady.

Here is a look at the two-day event.

Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, Indomitable Spirit and Victory.
