South Cakalakie- Day 2: Women of Spartenburg
My niece, Christen, called me a few weeks before I was heading out to SC. She was working on a project of women in history for a college class at Converse College. Of course I would help her any way how. She needed photographs of some of the women classmates and herself had interviewed and written their paper on. The women were teachers, WAVE officers, politicians, Red Cross nurses and more. Next March they will be displayed in an exhibit at the library.
Here are some of the images I captured of these amazing women.
wowooooo!! Love them!!! dang Jen! goooooo girl!!
These are so great! See what happens when you get out of your environment and into your element?! On a side note, I am so jealous of the lush folliage in South Cakalakie. Just seeing the thick bushes and bright greens make me want to move to the south and buy a house with a wrap-around porch where I can sit and drink sweet tea while kids play in a sprinkler in the front yard. Ahh.
